VETERINARY

Veterinarians and animal care specialists are faced with unique medicine-related problems that typically are not encountered by physicians. We help solve these problems for small and large animals - pets, exotics, and livestock. Here are just a few examples of how we can improve an animal’s health by compounding medicines into easy to use and economical forms:

Flavored Medicine Some pets gag and spit out bitter pills. We can prepare your pets medicine into easy to give flavored dosages, such as sardine, tuna, chicken, or liver.

Ideal Size Medicine - Commercial animal medicines may be available in only one tablet size making it hard to swallow. We can compound dosage forms that are just the right size for any animal.

Unavailable Medicines - Animal medicine manufacturers often stop producing medicines and dosage forms for which there is low demand or are not profitable in the market. We can obtain medicines as liquids and powders and then prepare dosage forms that are often superior to the discontinued formulas.

Administrative Solutions - It is easier and less labor intensive to give one injection rather than four. We can compound injectables and solutions with the needed concentrations of two or several ingredients—and for delivery by nebulizer.

Special Eye Drops - Veterinarians often need medicinal eye drops– especially for dogs and cats. We can compound eye drops to contain exactly the concentrations of medicine and ingredients needed for various animals.

Convenient to Use - Veterinarians may prescribe two or three medicines for an animal. Using several medicines from separate containers is inconvenient and costly. We can compound medicines into a base that contains the needed concentration of each medicine. And into forms specific for each animal—oral liquids, rectal suppositories, eardrops, creams or powders.
